Kevin & Colleen: MARRIED!

Kevin and Colleen are awesome...I had an absolute blast shooting their wedding. Even though their wedding happened right after TONS of rain fall, their actual wedding day was not rainy at all!! So, we stayed away from the grass and enjoyed the gorgeous weather and blue skies. They had not a care in the world and were just sooo happy to finally be married...finally together in the same town. (Kevin has been living in Chicago.) Check out some of my favorites from their BIG day!!

Colleen got ready at her parent's house. It was so relaxed and laid back. Love this one of Colleen getting her hair done while she is chatting with her bridesmaid in the other room.


Okay, I liked Colleen from the first moment I met her at our meeting at Starbucks, but shortly before the wedding I found out that she LOVED Sleeping Beauty. WHICH IS MY FAVORITE MOVIE!!! AWE! So, I liked her even more! WINK! So on the day of, we just had to take pictures of the gorgeous bling on OUR favorite movie!

We went to Faust Park for some gorgeous wedding party pictures.

The reception was held at the Schafly Tap Room, it was wonderful!


My favorite detail were the Jones soda that had a picture from their engagement session with me. They look great!


Their first dance was sooo cute! Kevin picked her up and held her up most of the time. He is over 6'6" and Colleen is around 5' 2"...so it was cute that he brought her up on his level.


And Colleen's other man, Aiden, was most definitely NOT left out...he got his own dance. His mom sang sweetly into his ear.....from Sleeping Beauty!!!


Kevin and Colleen, I had a wonderful time at your wedding...congrats on your wedding!! Enjoy every moment!

Jacob is HERE!

I am often asked, "What is a birth story." And of course, there is a weird look that goes along with it. And I explain that it includes capturing the amazing moments before, during (no graphic pictures), and the most precious moments after birth. But I always encourage people to see the pictures, THEN they understand. It is the most incredible event that I can be part of...Becki's birth of Jacob was perfect! She had Jacob at St. Luke's and it was truly a blessing to see him born. Check out some pictures that tell Jacob's birth "story." And maybe you, too, will understand why I LOVE birth stories!!!

Becki was smiling ear to ear before the scheduled C-Section. She was relaxed and joking as always. I seriously had sooo much fun...plus, the nurses and doctors were lighthearted and awesome, too. This always makes for a fun birth.


In the OR...it will be just moments until little Jacob is here!

Kelly's Senior Session

My awesome brother, Bobby, goes to Mizzou and has a great friend/roomate, Mark, whose sister is Kelly....so I was super excited to do her senior session. And after meeting her, I just loved every moment of the session. She was sweet and it was great talking about her college and future. We met in Lafayette Square to do her great session...here are some of my favs!!

Most people know that I just love taking shoe pictures for my brides, but who says you can't take cool pictures with shoes for seniors???


This was such a cool little spot to get pictures...little edgier and I am diggin' it!

Chris & Rebekah: MARRIED!

Chris and Rebekah got married at the beautiful Covenant Presbyterian Church and celebrated their wedding at the incredible Frontenac Hilton. It was a wonderful day and I had a wonderful time shooting their wedding day. Enjoy some of my favs. of the day....also, keep coming back each day for daily posts...it is my busiest time of year and I have tons of great posts coming up!!!

Loved this ring shot. I loved the shadows from the window, creating a cool mood, and then how the light just shines right off the diamonds in the ring.

Covenant was gorgeous! The lighting was incredible, the space and size was great, and I just loved this wide-angled shot of the ceremony.
