Nick & Margaret : Engaged!

I met Margaret last winter when she was in one of my bride's weddings. We definitely hit it off and I was so excited when not long after that wedding, she was engaged. The Mueller Family: MY Family!

My husband, Tony, is the most wonderful man I have ever met! And marrying him in 2006, I received the wonderful blessing of another family. The Muellers are truly a blessing beyond words. We all got together to do a Christmas card session. And here are just a few of my favorites!

These are the most important kids in my life! My daughter (the sweet girl on the left), 2 nephews, and 2 nieces; these kids mean the world to me. Love this cousin picture!!!!

Alright, so my brother-in-law, Joe just got a BUS!! LOL! The whole family wanted to do a bus picture...I went along for the ride...and it turned out pretty cute, too. (This picture was crazy to set up since I was in the picture...automatic picture. This was a challenge to get just right. LOL!)

Afterwards, we just did Joe and Annie's family pictures. Loved taking their pictures! (Especially since I hadn't taken pictures of them since they were just a family of 4!)

Angie and I went to high school together...I got to play volleyball with her two older sisters. So I have known her family for a few years...well, actually over 13 years. Being part of David and Katie's wedding day was just AMAZING! But let me back up...I met with Katie's mom (Katie lives out of town right now) to go over products and discuss shooting her wedding. And I instantly fell in love with her. My thought to myself was, "If Katie's mom is this sweet, then Katie will be an amazing bride to work with..." And meeting with Katie a few weeks prior to her big day just made me even more excited to shoot her wedding...I felt like I have known her forever. So, needless to say, it was an amazing day that I got to be part of...and now, I feel part of the Tipton family!! Enjoy some great images from their big day!

Being a wedding photographer, I see a LOT of shoes. Which, I love because shoes are my FAVORITE detail to photograph. So, when I saw these AH-MAZING shoes, I was so excited. They are just gorgeous! LOVE these shoes!

My favorite part of the ceremony was when David's grandfather, who married his dad and mom, helped preform the ceremony. It was the most touching ceremony due to these kind of special touches. Look at his smile on his face.

Stephen and Renee are the best couple to work with...I was sooo excited for their wedding day and enjoyed every minute of their day. Even with the heat, it was amazing. Baby Gabby :: Infant Session

I have known the Schierdings since before their first child was born. I met Bruce and Katy at their maternity shoot when Katy was pregnant with Caroline. I have loved meeting up with them since then for some fun famiy sessions. I was so excited when I ran into Katy at Chick Fil A (yes, I love that place!!!) and was estatic to find out that she was expecting baby #2. I got to do Katy's maternity session again...but this time, while she was pregnant with Gabby. Now, little Gabby has arrived. I got to meet her and take pictures again of the whole family. Check out some of my favorites of that wonderful day!

Seriously, she was such a doll!!! The top left shows her sweet little blanket and the right picture shows off her gorgeous hat. Katy picked out a perfect hat for this session, for sure.

Evan : Session

I have known Evan since he was in gradeschool. When I was shooting a wedding back in December he waved to me...now all grown up and I totally didn't even recognize him. I did the whole double take and finally figured it out; it was Evan. My amazing family and I just went to The Dominican Republic. While we there on vacation, I did a mini-photo shoot because beach photos are my favorite location for a shoot. Here are some of those images!

Kevin & Jennifer :: Married

On the morning of May 14th, it was raining. I was totally bummed because this was Kevin and Jen's wedding day...it just couldn't rain. (It has NEVER rained on one of my bride's big days!) But alas, it did and as I entered the bride's getting ready room, I was greeted by Jen, who was smiling. It just delighted my heart! She had a great attitude, even though she admits she cried when she woke up. But she was a trooper. She was so excited to meet her groom at the end of the isle. And it turned out to be a rather cold day, but we were able to sneak outside for 5 minutes and get some of my favorites of the day...OUTSIDE! Enjoy pictures from Kevin and Jennifer's big day!

A beautiful ceremony...

They were so excited to be getting married!

The tradition in Germany is that the first thing a married couple does together is saw through a log. It is actually really tough and the couple has to work hard together.

After the ceremony, we all headed to my favorite place to go when it rains, The Muny. It was cold, rainy, and BUSY, but loveeeed these pictures we got. Totally worth it!

As I was shooting, I looked out and saw that it stopped raining. Kevin and Jennifer were so excited to get some outdoor shots. And...MY FAV. of the day happened with this shot:

Where do I even begin? Well, let's start at the beginning, I met Holly back 3 years ago when I did her daughter, Addie's, birth story. I loved doing their maternity session, but I felt sooo close to them and their family after spending hours upon hours in the delivery room with them. Howard and Holly are two of the sweetest people I have ever met. And through the years, we have grown as friends and she is also a photographer, so we get to shoot together, too! It has been awesome hanging out with them and also being their photographer! I am honored to show you some of my favs. from their family session in Lafayette Square!

Alright, this is my favorite of the session! I just love this one!!!! I love that Addie has this sweet smile on her face and is so preciously laying her head on her Daddy!

This new trunk is a new fav! I love it! It is perfect for toddlers to sit on...I think it is a hit!

I heart the Schierdings!!! I was with Katy and Bruce as Caroline was born 3 years ago and since have loved doing photo shoots with this family. It is so fun for me to see my previous birth story clients grow up! I still can't believe little Caroline is 3 already! Enjoy pictures from some of my favorites from our session:

Bruce to this day was one of my favorite dads in the birth room. He was so excited to meet his little princess, Caroline. And even now, his little girl means the world to him.

Heath and Angela met me for a wonderful engagement session last week. We had a great time getting to know each other. And better yet, it didn't rain. And in STL, right now, that is saying something. Brandon & Olivia :: Engaged

Alright, anyone who knows me at all knows the foloowing things abou me:
1. I love my family; they mean the world to me!
2. I am OCD...everything has it's place and must be put back!
3. I am NOT A MORNING PERSON!!!!!! EXCLAMATION POINTS!!!!!!

So when talking to Olivia, I realized that an evening session was impossible due to her soon-to-be-hubby's and her schedule, I went to the forbidden secret...well, we can do an early sunset session. She loved the idea...so Brandon, Olivia, and I all met up for an engagement session at 6am! (I don't think I have seen that early in FOREVER! LOL!) It was early but man alive, it was AWESOME!!! Lafayette Square was the perfect location for this session and seriously, it was INCREDIBLE! SO worth getting up early to hang with these two! I mean they are both so sweet and incredibly tenderhearted. Olivia and I met at Gold's Gym and she immediately struck me as such a dear...not to mention gorgeous! Brandon and Olivia are having a destination wedding in July but I am so glad that they chose me to do their engagement session in STL! Enjoy pictures from their amazing early morning session!

Joe & Annie's Birth Story :: Lily

Alright, pretty much the MOST amazing thing that I get to photograph is a Birth Story. It is amazing in every sense of the word!! I get to be part of the birth of a baby and capture the sweetest first moments of an infant that otherwise might not have been captured, or would be captured but by a not so wonderful camera. And I don't blame dad's for missing moments...they should be totally distracted by the new life that has entered the room. So it's my job to capture the mother's tears as she holds her newborn baby, the baby being weighted, and first family pictures! It is the BEST thing I do!!! And, this week, I was part of a very special Birth Story, my niece! Lily entered the world on Monday...here are just some of the pictures from her arrival!

Annie was so ready to have baby Lily! She was very excited to meet her 4th baby, she has 1 girl and 2 boys at home!!

I LOVE all the detail shots that I am able to get at a birth! Sooo many fun ones, put together a collage of a few of them!!! I love the middle left picture..."Goal of the Day: Have a Baby!"

Britteny actually went to grade school with my brother, so I have kown her since she was a little girl. And now, she is getting married to the love of her life. Liz won a FREE maternity session by completing a contest on Facebook. I am so glad she did because I had a great time shooting her baby bump! And even better than that, it was great catching up with her...we went to GRADE SCHOOL together. So it was awesome seeing where life had taken her, meeting her husband, Jermane, and just having a blast shooting her maternity session. It was a gorgeous day and here are just some of my favs...

The Cornwell Family

I don't even know where to begin this post...let me take you back to the days when I worked in Missouri Baptist University's Admission office...my boss was Rob Cornwell. He was more than a boss, he was a dear friend! He truly made me laugh and he, like so many in that office, became family! Rob was wonderful! Over the years of working in Admissions, I met and got to know his wonderful family, Missy, Lauren, and Stephen, too. Last year, when I found out Rob had cancer, I called him crying. He reassured me that God had a plan and that he was a fighter. I remember getting off the phone and telling my husband that by the end of the conversation, I was completely uplifted and smiling. That was Rob!!! But sadly, Rob lost his battle to cancer. I lost a friend and mentor, but Missy lost her love of her life and husband, and Stephan and Lauren lost a loving father. Words cannot express how much this man meant to SO MANY! He was loved and Rob LOVED life. So when Missy contacted me about doing a family session, I was so excited, but also terrified. I told Tony, "What if I see them and just cry!" Well, the day arrived...I saw Missy...and I SMILED! It was sooo good to see them. It was seriously a session of laughing and smiling the whole time. We had a blast together. It was just the way that Rob would have wanted this session to be! And I loved every moment of shooting the session. Here is a session for a family that I love...enjoy!

Stephen was cracking me up the whole time during the session. As soon as he arrived at the session, he was ready to eat. He was ready to get there and that meant he needed to get through the session. A few minutes into the session, we had him enjoying the session as much as possible! LOL! He has such a great smile and he was showing it!

I love this bridge...this is one of my favorites of the day!

David and my sister, Jessie, have been friends since high school, and so when David and Stephanie contacted me to shoot their engagement and wedding, I was THRILLED! They will be getting married in September and I cannot wait!!!! They picked Lafayette Square for their engagement session location because that was where they had their FIRST date. Talk about sentimental! I loved that as I shot the session, they were remembering the details of their first date and how they got to be engaged. Check out one wonderful engagement session!!!!

I love shooting at Lafayette Square, and this is my favorite alley way! And anyone who knows me, knows I am claustrophobic. LOL!!! So I have to overcome my fear each time we go here....to get photos like this...totally worth it!

Jadyn turned 4 last week, which I seriously cannot believe. She is the delight of Tony and my life!!! We feel so blessed to be her parents and we truly cherish her! Happy birthday to my sweet baby girl! (Also, it has been nice taking a few weeks off just to enjoy being a parent. I will be off until the end of March!!!)

Lexi is 1!!!!! I was so excited when Lisa contacted me to do the pictures at Lexi's amazing princess party! Check out some of the amazing details of the day...Lisa did ALL the details. She is incredibly talented, which made this an extra fun birthday for me to shoot!

The sweets table was incredible!! I especially loved the "Smash Cake" that had a tierra. Everything was just gorgeous!!

Here was my favorite detail of the day by far, the Wishing Tree. All the guests wrote their own personal wishes for Lexi. Plus it was gorgeously decorated with pearls and pictures of Lexi from the past year.

One of my favorite things to do at a birthday party is to "steal away" the family for a brief set of family pictures!

Two Sweet Ladybugs....

I love the Wilhem family! I was there when both of Bob and Katie's girls were born, shooting their birth stories of course, and have done a few other sessions for them, too. And every time I see this family, I just smile! Their two girls, Claire and Sophie, are so cute and full of SWEETNESS. Here are some of my favorite images from a mini-session for them around Valentine's Day, it was so much fun! Enjoy these cute pictures!

Claire is just beyond adorable! She has just a sweet spirit and was so cooperative doing pictures. This was my favorite of Claire:

I asked Katie and Bob to be in just a few pictures because Katie specifically wanted the session to be about the girls, so I was glad they let me get them in on the fun!

Loved this one!!! Sophie thought it was too fun playing on the stairs of The City Museum with the cool spinning spindles. She was laughing so hard. Love her laugh/smile.

One of my favorite personalize moments of the ceremony was when Grace and Tim braided together 3 cords. Symbolizing that God, Tim, and Grace were part of the marriage and would not be "easily broken." It made me tear up when Grace's mom read a speech about the 3 cords!

Gene & Laura's Wedding

Family means the world to me!!! There is nothing in this world more amazing than the blessing of your family. And when I married my wonderful husband, Tony, in 2006, I became part of his family, and they are wonderful!!! So when Tony's cousin, Laura, contacted me about shooting her wedding day, I was sooo excited. I mean I love my brides and I love being a part of their day, but this was FAMILY! There is nothing like shooting the wedding of a family member, especially to a couple like Gene and Laura. They are an incredible couple that just tied the knot in January 2011. So, check out this wonderful wedding....I included a LOT of photos, because they are family! WINK!

Details from the day...so many to choose from, it was hard "slimming the pickings" down for this collage.

Here was my favorite detail of the day...Laura's champagne shoes. Just beautiful!

John and Marlene :: Married

John and Marlene got married in December and finished up my 2010 amazing wedding season!! They had a gorgeous wedding day and all I can think about the day is the smiles!!! There were so many smiles, especially between John and Marlene. So enjoy these wedding pictures and the gorgeous smiles!

I LOVE shooting at The Graham Chapel on Washington University's campus. It has the most gorgeous lighting and wonderful stainglass windows! Here are some details from when I arrived at the chapel.

Just downstairs Marlene was getting ready...Katie, my amazing sister-in-law, was doing hair and make-up. I love when we get to work together!

Marlene was breathtaking walking down the isle. She had such a gorgeous smile and poise walking down to her groom...

First dance pictures are my favorite part of the reception. It is like being part of such an intimate moment between the couple. I love taking pictures of their emotions while they dance as husband and wife for the first time.

I have been waiting for the wedding of Sam and Laura alllll year long, and I had to wait until November for their big day to FINALLY get here!!! BUT, their wedding day did arrived and it was worth the wait! What an incredible day! Sam and Laura are in love with each other and were so layed back about on their big day! The Nichols Kids...well, adults!

The Nichols family has become a favorite to Tony and I. Tony did a photoshoot with them two years ago and came back raving about how wonderful this family was...and then I had the pleasure this year to do a session with them and YES, they are really amazing!!! I didn't feel like I was working...not even once!!! I loved talking with each of them. Mr. and Mrs. Nichols even came and it was wonderful catching up with them. Enjoy pictures of the Nichols kids...well, they are pretty grown up now, but you know what I mean!

Paige, Jordan, and Ally are super close!!! I love how Ally is just so excited to talk and hang out with her family!

Here is Paige, she is a senior right now and looking forward to all that collage will hold for her. She is such a sweetheart and just gorgeous...she looks just like her mother!

Jordan is wonderful! And he is a model/actor in LA. So we actually had to wait to do this session until he came in...in November and it was FREEZING!!! Soooo glad that they braved the horrible wind and crazy low temperatures for this session. It was so nice working with a professional who just "did" everything without being coached...made my day sooo easy! And, he is good at his job. Check out this shot!

And Ally is the youngest! She is such a doll who LOVES pictures...she was my little ham at taking pictures. Anything you asked her to do, she nailed! She was great and really made my heart smile!

Last year I got to do the Mahoney's Christmas session for their Christmas cards, and we had a blast, so I was excited when they contacted me again for 2010. Steve is a singer, you might know him as Steve Richard. He is a great and down to earth guy, and his wife is one of the sweetest and most caring people that I know! And their daughter Marion is gorgeous and such a cutie. Enjoy some of their pictures from their session!

Meet my best friend from highschool, Holly! She is my perfect best friend; she is sweet, wonderful in everyway, and we have been inseperable since high school (even though we live states apart!!!). Two years ago I was able to be part of the biggest day of her life, when she married her husband, Wesley. And now, Holly is pregnant with a sweet little girl, and I cannot wait for her to arrive, but until then, here are maternity session pictures!!!

Nick and Mindy are getting married!!!

I met with Mindy, Nick, her mom and dad on our bridal meeting a few months back. And let me say, Mindy's dad and Nick were hilarious. They were so funny and the whole group was so fun to hang out with. It didn't seem like a meeting but more like hanging out with friends. So when this 2011 wedding couple to-be said they wanted to do their engagement session right away, I was excited because I would get to see Mindy and Nick again so soon! Not more than a month later, Mindy, Nick, and I met up on a gorgeous October evening for a wonderful engagement session. Enjoy some of my favs. of the day!

Daniel and Libby's Wedding

So there is this family, the Beldners. They are a family that I LOVE! I met the Beldner family back when I was in highschool. I was good friends with Brian Beldner and I actually got to shoot his wedding last August. It was such a special time to see him marry the love of his life, Inga. And now this year, I got to shoot the wedding of Daniel Beldner, marrying Libby. It was amazing!!!!! I loved getting to see all the Beldners, plus meeting Libby's incredible family. It was a perfect October wedding day. And, I might add, these two are beyond words perfect for each other. Check out some of my favorites from the day.

Daniel and Libby got married at the Cabanna House on SLU's campus. It was gorgeous!!! The weather was perfect, the background was incredible, and it was the perfect place for their wedding.

Matt & Ashley's Wedding Day!

October was an amazing month for weddings this year. It was beautiful and there was perfect weather all month long! And Ashley and Matt had a perfect wedding day! It was gorgeous in every way; from the details of the ceremony, to the incredible couple, it was one awesome day! Enjoy all the fun pictures!

The ceremony and reception was at the wonderful Thaxton. It made for a gorgeous and "hollywood glam" feel.

The way that Ashley looked at Matt during the vows made me tear up...

I am warning you, as I was about to blog this post, and I was picking out my favorite of the couple, every picture I saw of them, I was like, "this is my favorite..." Then the next one, "this is my favorite." I just loved them all!

This is one of my favorite areas downtown, so when we were close at the Arch, I asked Ashley to do some couple pictures and the bridesmaids pictures here...so glad we stopped!!!

Ashley is a gorgeous person inside and out...she was such a wonderful bride to work with!

I LOVE Southern Floral (they did my flowers for our wedding day back in 2006) and was so glad to see Jan setting up the flowers when I arrived at Thaxton. Ashley's bouquet was absolutely perfect!

Carter Knox is here! I went over to his house for a little-mini photography session. It was so fun meeting him for the first time...and probably the best part was hanging out with his amazing mommy, Lara. You see, Lara and I worked together at MBU in the addmissions office and were roommates! So, this photoshoot rocked!!!! I loved meeting Lara's sweet little boy. I always tell parents that getting a few crying pictures "makes" a session. Even these pictures will be ones that you cherish later. If a baby cries during a session, I am snapping away, even those are precious pictures!

The Fothen Family....

I went to grade school with Kim, so when she contacted me through facebook to do a family session with her family, I was thrilled! I LOVE catching up with friends from my past. And then, she told me she had TWIN GIRLS!! And anyone who knows me somewhat well, knows I LOVE twins!!!! So, I was even more excited about the session. Here are just a few of my favorites from this session. ENJOY!

Absolutely love this picture. Both Tim and Kim love their sweet twins...

I was driving to the session wondering if Kim remembered playing babydolls in Kindergarten with me and trolls/barbies as we got older. And the first few things we talked about was how we used to have so much fun playing. This was such a special session for me. (Poor Tim had to just listen as we caught up on allll of life since 8th grade!) Kim, you are just as gorgeous as I remembered you, and your family is wonderful!

We were taking pictures and Tim said, "They have found each other." LOL! It was the cutest thing, as soon as they noticed each other, they couldn't take their eyes off each other.

Ava is just as cute as her twin!!! She was so focused on the park and it was great seening how different twins can be. My favorite thing Ava did was hold her hands together. She did it almost the whole photoshoot. It was adorable!
