Baby Declan!!!

Brandon and April just welcomed Declan into the world. I was very excited to be a part of this birth because April was doing a home birth. Natural births are so neat because there is such emotion during the birth. April did an amazing job delivering Declan. She made it look easy; how do you do that??? It was so nice to be part of Declan's first night in the world. Thank you Brandon and April for letting me be part of your baby's birth...I look forward to his infant session this Saturday!

I arrived around 10:40 and Declan was born within 15 minutes of me arriving! Talk about perfect timing...it was a close one!

I scream, you scream, Jadyn screams for ice cream!

Tony just got back in town from Virginia Beach and we went to the mall to celebrate (Let's face it, when it is freezing out, there isn't much to do.)! We played, browsed, and then Jadyn wanted some ice cream. (The 9 degree weather was outside...so we let her! WINK!) Here are pictures from my cell phone, not the best quality, but seriously, the best ice cream pictures of Jadyn with her peppermint and M&Ms. - She picked her flavor, can you tell?

A match made in Colombia!!!

Josh and Shelly met while Josh went on a mission trip to Colombia. They are both amazing people inside and out. Their December wedding was amazing. I loved photographing this wedding because Josh and Shelly's wedding reflected their love for the Lord and each other. Congrats! I am very excited for both of you!

In Columbia, to get the bouquet, all the single ladies (why does that bring a song to my mind?) put one shoe under the bride's dress. The groom then starts picking shoes (without looking) and the lovely lady whose shoe is picked last receives the bride's bouquet.


Here Shelly and Josh are having a blast in the photo booth. I have some great candid shots from the evening because both the bride and groom were not afraid to have a good time!

Baby Kaden

Kaden was born on December 26th (just thirty minutes before Baby Isaac. Beth and Lisa both had c-sections at St. John's with the same doctor! It was one crazy day for me! WINK!) I waited patiently in the Recovery Room across from OR to meet Kaden. As they entered and I saw Kaden, I teared up (Lisa is one of my best friends. It is always SO nice to do a birth story for someone I know so well!) Mom and baby were doing great, and proud dad was fabulous, too. They were sooo proud! Congrats to the Hessels! Look forward to MORE baby Kaden pictures. I will be doing an infant session with them soon!

Introducing Isaac Andrew

Merry Christmas Baby...well, almost. The day after Christmas, little Isaac was born into the world. Luke and Beth have a very healthy and beautiful addition to their family. I was introduced to their little man after Beth's c-section. (She had the c-section after 22 hours of labor....what a trooper!)

Congrats Luke and Beth, your Isaac is adorable! Here are pictures from his birth and day-after pictures(actually two days after for c-section clients).
