As most of you know, I had three VERY close birth stories at the end of December and beginning of January...so we pushed baby Declan's one day session back a little bit...he had a one week session. As always, this family had me laughing and smiling a lot! This session was wonderful and included many of Brandon and April's loved ones...including Brandon's dad from Puerto Rico. Enjoy Declan's pictures...I know I sure did!
Picture perfect family!
Here is my favorite picture of the session. Baby hands couldn't be any sweeter...wouldn't you agree?!?!
Amadi and Gyasi are so sweet to Declan. I love this portrait!
Brandon and April are so natural here. It amazed me how few poses I needed to put them in. What they did naturally looked perfect.
I had the HARDEST time narrowing this blog entry down to 12 pictures...so there are sooo many more pictures posted on Facebook under "Kristen M Photography" - Brandon, your hat swap picture is there!

The Hessel Family!
Jon, Lisa, and I worked together at Missouri Baptist University and went to college together. Lisa became one of my closest friends (and Jon is a good friend, too, wink!). And now, we all have the awesome bond of photography. Lisa is actually the one who got me into photography! Getting the three of us...well, now four...together always is a great time. And taking pictures of their amazing family was no exception. Enjoy:
I just love this close up of Kaden and Lisa.
He is absolutely precious!
Favorite picture of Jon with Kaden. He was a natural. I never really posed him, I just asked Jon to hold Kaden like he normally would and then I was able to get a ton of great father/son pics.
Favorite family picture.
Just gorgeous...their expressions are priceless. Lisa is truly captivated by Kaden.
And here I am giving Kaden his Superman ornament. He was supposed to come a week before Christmas, but he actually came the day after...lol. He can use it next year on the tree.

Isaac is three weeks old!
My blog is full of babies and I am loving it!!! Isaac was my first infant session out of three this week. I am getting to see sooo many cute little ones and I must say, Isaac is no exception. Luke, Beth, and Isaac and I had a great time at his session. Here are my favorites from this session:
I really like mobiles, and Isaac's fish mobile was too cute to pass up.
Favorite picture of Luke with Isaac. Look at that smile, could he be any happier??
Vans shoes!
He was getting changed...he wasn't very happy. (But I was okay with it because I do like to get a few good crying pictures. And I love this pictures because you can see his precious gums.)
This is my favorite picture of Beth with Isaac. I just loved the natural light let into the livingroom by their large windows.

Baby Declan!!!
Brandon and April just welcomed Declan into the world. I was very excited to be a part of this birth because April was doing a home birth. Natural births are so neat because there is such emotion during the birth. April did an amazing job delivering Declan. She made it look easy; how do you do that??? It was so nice to be part of Declan's first night in the world. Thank you Brandon and April for letting me be part of your baby's birth...I look forward to his infant session this Saturday!
I arrived around 10:40 and Declan was born within 15 minutes of me arriving! Talk about perfect timing...it was a close one!
This is the doula in the background, the doctor delivered little Declan.
WELCOME!
Proud daddy's reaction!
Brandon's mom is snapping pictures of April holding Declan for the first time.
First bath...
And of course the dogs were very confused by this new addition to the family. Declan is being introduced...they agree, he is a KEEPER!
December and January have been very busy Birth Story months for me...look forward to many infant sessions soon. Also, don't forget to check out more pictures on FACEBOOK!

I scream, you scream, Jadyn screams for ice cream!
Tony just got back in town from Virginia Beach and we went to the mall to celebrate (Let's face it, when it is freezing out, there isn't much to do.)! We played, browsed, and then Jadyn wanted some ice cream. (The 9 degree weather was outside...so we let her! WINK!) Here are pictures from my cell phone, not the best quality, but seriously, the best ice cream pictures of Jadyn with her peppermint and M&Ms. - She picked her flavor, can you tell?
